About Maison du Quantique Alpes

Launched on Monday May 19th, 2025, its objective is to be a place of exchange for the different communities interested in hybrid quantum/classical computing and to guide the industrials from all sectors on the possibilities and development of these approaches for their business applications.

The activity of the Maison du Quantique Alpes

In order to promote the development and the adoption of the hybrid quantum computing, the House of Quantum Alps is organising various activities to raise awareness of the usability of quantum computing, to guide the industrials of all sectors on the potential of quantum computing for their business applications and to become a flagship location of regional quantum ecosystem open to academics, students and institutions. It aims to propose support both on skills and projects exploring the capacities of hybrid quantum computing, through innovation thanks to the development of the Quantum PaQ, education and research, all supported by an ambitious programme of events.

The French Hybrid Quantum Initiative (HQI)

Thanks to the support of the Hybrid Quantum Initiative, 5 Maisons du Quantiques has been launched in 2025, those projects are located in five main French regions such as Île-de-France, Nouvelle Aquitaine, Grand Est, Occitanie and Rhônes-Alpes.

The Maison du Quantique Alpes is one of the 5 winning project located in the french regions from the Hybrid Quantum Initiative (HQI) program, led by the CEA Paris Saclay. Scientific, innovation and training support is provided collectively thanks to the joint contributions of partners CEA, CNRS, Inria, UGA and Grenoble INP – UGA, and will be based on the structure provided by QuantAlps, a research federation of CNRS, CEA, Inria and UGA and a UGA laboratory of excellence, and by the CEA's Quantum Hub.

Research

A sustained programme of international visits, seminars and workshops enabling industrial and academic teams within the ecosystem to engage with the latest scientific and technological advances in quantum computing and theory, particularly hybrid computing. A collective of theorists who are experts in both the physics of the underlying technologies (their strengths and limitations) and the algorithms ultimately targeted, as well as in the state of the art of classical, quantum or quantum-inspired algorithms that can be deployed for the development of a software ecosystem and hybrid application. Innovation

The innovation arm of the Maison du Quantique Alpes is mainly led by the CEA through the development of the Quantum hub offers and the study of industrial use case using classical quantum computing approaches. Education

Strengthening human capital is a key and necessary part of the national quantum strategy to ensure innovation, attractiveness and competitiveness in industrial and research ecosystems. The education will be reinforced through a range of practical initiatives, including access to various platforms and collaborative spaces where different communities meet and work together, enabling students to regularly meet and interact with industry professionals and academics.
