Alioscia Hamma from the University of Naples and currently visiting scientist at LPMMC will give a series of lectures on 'Quantum Magic'

Short description of the course:

Quantum Magic

  • Lecture 1 Introduction - Mathematical preliminaries - layers of quantum mechanical behavior: entanglement and speed up - quantum circuits and channels - universality
  • Lecture 2 Stabilizer formalism - Clifford group - simulability of quantum states and gates
  • Lecture 3 Resource theories - magic and non stabilizerness - Stabilizer Renyi Entropy (SRE) - SRE and quantum chaos - measurement of magic
The courses will take place at the Maison des Magisteres, in room Mag 2 on the following dates:
  • friday june 10th, 14h00-16h00;
  • wednsday june 15th, 14h00-16h00;
  • friday june 17th, 14h00-16h00.
